The inaugural black-tie event’s focus is on influential Washington, DC mothers raising funds for orphans through the United for Kids Foundation (UKF) – a nonprofit committed to fighting poverty and illiteracy through education and social welfare programs in Nigeria. Participating mothers adorned in one of a kind designs by L-Shandi and guests partook in a silent auction featuring original artwork, sent from Nigeria, by the benefitting orphans depicting their life goals and dreams.

This First Annual event held Friday, September 30, 2011 was presented in the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. JSI and Producer Nenye Njoku Olagbegi founder of Nenye Njoku, LLC  Public Relations and Event Production worked hand in hand to give this event to look it deserves, and we look forward to many such glorious events from RMFAC.
